Desginer's Notes:

This is a very unusual pattern of which I am very proud. Peasant features saddle shoulders, a square neckline, wide sleeves, and is knit entirely on the bias in stockinette stitch. The model photos feature the front in back in Dalegarn Tiur color #9853 double stranded. The sleeves are knit with one strand Tiur and one strand hand-dyed dk weight linen.

When knitting this design it is vital to do a careful gauge swatch. The bias construction requires that gauge be as close as possible in both stitch length and width in order to keep the correct proportions. When sewing the garmant together, I suggest butting the seams together and using backstitching to secure. This method leaves a secure seam with no selvedge.
