Designer's Notes:

Handmade bookmarks hold a special place in my heart. They may be small and common, but the ones that last are full of memories. A knitting class called Lace Chart Reading gave me the perfect opportunity to create an original knitted bookmark. I am pleased to share the results. It's a very quick project that requires very little yarn. Steam blocking is really the key to making this a truly flat and usable bookmark, which is why I would recommend using natural fibers (man-made ones might melt with the heat). Keep this pattern in mind around the holidays as an quick last minute knitted gift.
